I worked on all streets in Anno 117. This is a collection of the dirt roads. The dirt road in Latium is made of brown trampled earth with stones, and just a little bit of green inbetween. The dirt roads in Albion are more eroded and more wet. We even added different stages of wetness, so that the road can fill up with water when it rains, and it rains a lot in Albion.
All streets use a spline-based system with many individual tiles. Modelling was done in 3ds Max, textures in Painter and Designer.
The screenshots show a collaborative effort with many distributions from the incredibly talented team.
